Senior Research Operations Manager
Caroline Marks joined FrameWorks Institute in 2023 as Senior Research Operations Manager. In this role, she helps ensure the research team has effective structures, processes, and supports to seamlessly conduct high-quality research. Caroline comes to FrameWorks with over a decade of experience in the public and non-profit sectors and a passion for using evidence to improve the lives of children and families. Most recently, she served as manager of research-practice partnerships for Metro Nashville Public Schools. There, she helped to establish and served as co-director of the Nashville Partnership for Educational Equity Research, a research-practice partnership with Vanderbilt University dedicated to disrupting educational inequities. In her time at Metro Nashville Public Schools and, previously, the School District of Philadelphia, she gained experience managing large research and data projects and developed her dedication to connecting evidence with practice. Early in her career, Caroline worked for CHILDREN AT RISK, a Texas-based non-profit dedicated to speaking out and driving change for children, where she strengthened the organization’s data and research capacity as director of social measurement and evaluation. Caroline earned her master’s degree in Sociology from Princeton University, specializing in demography, families, and inequality, and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality from Rice University. Caroline lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband, two children, and a dog.
