Carinne Wheedan

Carinne Wheedan is a communications strategist with a diverse background in programs, policy, research, and communications in the mission-driven sector. As the Director of Communications at FrameWorks, she works alongside the Research Interpretation and Application unit to ensure that FrameWorks research can be accessed and effectively utilized by those working to advance progressive social change. Prior to joining FrameWorks, Carinne held positions as the Director of Content and the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships at America’s Promise Alliance. In both capacities she worked to translate the organization’s youth-centered research into tangible practice changes within the youth-supporting sector. Carinne has also held positions at the United Way for Greater Austin, American Youth Policy Forum, and the Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources, along with various teaching roles in school and out-of-school settings. Carinne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at The University of Texas at Austin.
