Nana Baffoe is a Researcher at Frameworks, working primarily within the Health Justice program. In this role, he conducts qualitative research and analyses to build the field’s understanding of health-related mindsets. Before FrameWorks, Nana conducted research that used Du Boisian theory to study the impact of racism on Black American Muslim self-appraisal and identity. He has also conducted comparative analyses of Indigenous reconciliation efforts in the United States and Canada, exploring the varying degrees to which multiculturalism impacts state apologies in both countries. Outside of research, he has held positions in copywriting, advocacy, and language tutoring. In these positions, he worked with underserved communities in Maine, Hong Kong, and Ghana. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Politics from Bates College in Maine.
