Anna Trester

Senior Fellow

Anna Marie Trester is an interactional sociolinguist and story practitioner, originally from Toronto Canada. She currently resides on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O’odham Nation and the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe in Tucson Arizona and has been a part of the Research Interpretation and Application team here at FrameWorks since 2014. Some of her favorite framing work has involved supporting the weaving of networks: OPEN (Oral Health Progress and Equity Network), NNOCCI (the National Network of Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation, and The Annie E. Casey Foundation’s KIDS Count Network. The author of Employing Linguistics, before joining FrameWorks, Anna Marie was the Director of the MA Program in Language and Communication at Georgetown University. When she’s not thinking about thinking and talking about talking, you can find her performing or teaching storytelling with Odyssey Storytelling, F*ST (Female Storytellers), and/or Better Said Than Done.
