Jennifer John is Associate Director for Quantitative Research at the FrameWorks Institute. Prior to joining FrameWorks in 2021, Jen received her MSW from Boston University, where she focused on nonprofit management, program development, and social policy. She is currently a doctoral candidate in experimental psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As a social worker, Jen has worked and consulted with a variety of nonprofit agencies to provide services and advance social justice on issues related to child welfare, LGBTQ+ rights, aging, homelessness, and criminal justice. As an experimental psychologist, Jen’s research integrates the fields of developmental, cognitive, social, and educational psychology; she has conducted both quantitative and mixed-methods research on educational equity, with a particular focus on math anxiety and math-intensive STEM fields. Jen has also studied strategies for discussing, reframing, and reducing racism and sexism in society more broadly. Her work has been published in Contemporary Educational Psychology, Child Development, and the International Journal of Gender, Science, and Technology.
