In 2004, Frameworks launched an investigation into Minnesotans’ thinking about transitional jobs programs, the problems they address and the constituencies they benefit. This work was commissioned by Lifetrack Resources, and supported by a grant from the Joyce Foundation.

Making the Public Case for Transitional Jobs Programs in Minnesota (2005) This comprehensive strategic message memo distills the research and explains the recommended strategies to communicate more effectively about transitional work.

 

Our Research


Communities that Work: An Analysis of Qualitative Research Exploring Perceptions of Lifetrack Programs and Policies
(2005) Cognitive models research with 19 Minnesotans reveals that the public supports the idea of moving people to work, but they have a poor understanding of what is involved in this transition.

Barriers to Public Engagement with Transitional Work: Visibility, Worthiness and Efficacy (2004) This report shares the results of four focus groups held in the Minneapolis/St. Paul region. These groups were designed to test potential reframes for the issue of Transitional Work. Authors explain effective reframes to employ and potential communications traps to avoid.
